Compact BitTable based Adaptive Association Rule Mining using Mobile Agent Framework

Abstract -
Mobile Agent based distributed data mining has drawn attention from researchers in Internet computing recently. Mobile Agent based Distributed Association Rule Mining (MADARM) is task of generating globally strong association rules from frequent itemsets gathered from distributed databases using the intelligent mobile agents. Recently, few researchers proposed framework for distributed association rule mining using mobile agents, more focus on either improving performance of the mining by using multi-agents, maintaining privacy and security or considering the changes in the database. This paper, we proposed the compact bit table based adaptive association rule mining using mobile agent framework(CBT-fi-AARMMA ) which is based on the existing CBT-fi based Distributed Association Rule Mining using Mobile agent framework (CBT-fi-DARMMA) with adaptive feature. Finally we compare with both CBT-fi-AARMMA and CBT-fi-DARMMA which shows the CBT-fi-AARMMA gives better performance.

The Internet of Things, Progress Report for Africa: A Survey

Abstract -
The last seven years have seen ”buzzing” activities across the globe among technology practitioners, private businesses and education institutions geared towards Internet of Things (IoT). According to Cisco, in 2013 about 80 things were being connected to the internet per second, by 2020 it is estimated that about 250 things will be connected to the internet per second, thats about 50 billion things. According to Gartner Machine to Machine (M2M) communication will generate incremental revenue exceeding $300 billion, mostly in services, by 2020. It will result in $1.9 trillion in global economic value-add through sales into diverse end markets. World over businesses arepositioning themselves to tap into the huge potential that exists in ubiquitous networks in various sectors. While many developed countries have a beehive of activities and projects in relation to Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), Africa have had very little activities. This research is meant to survey the progress that various African countries are undertaking. We intend to survey various IoT activities in selected African countries document their progress and conclude on the level of intake of IoT in Africa. We will also document some of the challenges affecting adoption of IoT in the continent.

A Mobile Tool for Photo Editing of Special Effects

Abstract -
In recent the smart phone has been widely used to deeply affect our life. Due to different sensors and devices mounted in a smart phone, more and more novel functions are developed to serve people. Camera that is one of the most popular devices in smart phone can help users to capture images and videos in life anytime and anywhere. This paper aims to design an application in smart phone to allow users easily editing their photos. This system contains several templates of special effects that can modify the user photos directly. That is to say, users can employ different templates to their photos to get corresponding special effects. We present the overall of this system, and then describe the details of the templates of special effects of this application in this paper.

RTSP Based Video Surveillance System Using IP Camera for Human Detection in OpenCV

Abstract -
The Real Time Streaming Protocol or RTSP, is an application-level protocol for control over the delivery of data with real-time properties. RTSP provides an extensible framework to enable controlled, on-demand delivery of real-time data, such as audio and video. The protocol can be intelligently chosen for multi thread environment where each parameter of information such as audio, video and text can be separated and processed concurrently and executed in parallel. The proposed system is able to perform on MPEG-4, H.264 and several other popular formats where video is undergoing encoding and decoding to save the bandwidth up to 80% over channel. HOG is a feature descriptor used in computer vision and image processing for the purpose of object detection like human. The technique detects occurrences of gradient orientation in localized portions of an image. In H.264 RTSP video, frames are identified as I, B, P and HOG is performed using GPU hardware, OpenCV and CUDA programming with HOG algorithm in Linux platform helps to automate and find the presence of human and alarm is generated.
